In Nov. 2005, Elmwood College Scotland and the best Asian golf club: Kunming Spring City Golf Club joined hands with each other to organize a week-long forum especially for the professional practice and management of golf course managers in China, which has received a lot of praise.
On 21st June 2005, Assistant Secretary-General of China Golf Association Mr. Liyong, Principal of Elmwood College Ms. Christina Potter, Director of International Golf and Operations Ms. Carol Borthwick, Project Manager Mr. George Manson and Chief Representative of China Office Ms. Ouyang Yanfeng attended the graduation ceremony of the first advanced training course “St. Andrews Golf Professional Development Award Certificate ” in China.
In March 2005, Elmwood College Scotland delegated Ms. Ouyang Yanfeng who was the chief representative of China Office to attend the first training class for international golf referees, which was held in Beijing, China. Ms. Ouyang Yanfeng passed the final exam successfully and got the “Qualification Certificate of International Referees” issued by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews (R&A). Principal of Elmwood College Scotland and Director of International Office shared teaching experiences with the lecturer group of China Agricultural University.
In 2003, Principal of Elmwood College, Director of International Office, Project Manager and Chief Representative of China Office had been invited to attend the first “China Golf Development Forum” held in Guangzhou, China. Picture above shows that Director of International Office Ms. Carol Borthwick was giving a speech on “development of golf education and industry”.
Dr. Hu Lin and Dr. Cui Jianyu of China Agricultural University introduced to Mr. Peter Dawson the “Golf Soil Testinfg Laboratory” sponsored by R&A. Picture on the right was taken in the campus with Mr. Chen Zhangliang, Mr. Peter Dawsom and Ms. Christina Potter.
On 19th May 2006, Principal of Elmwood College Ms. Christina Potter, Director Of International Office Ms. Carol Borthwick and China-Scotland Project Manager Ms. Ouyang Yanfeng were invited to attend “International Golf Summit Forum”.
